Ground covering mat for gardens - uses mat which is layer permeable to water and air but impermeable to light whose construction is weed barrier

The ground covering mat, is especially for agricultural gardens or vineyards where the mat consists of a coating layer which is permeable to water and air but impermeable to light. The labyrinth construction of the layer serves as a weed barrier. Specifically, the barrier layer consists of open-celled, foamed plastic which is reinforced on the underside. An organic, coarse grained material is imbedded into the foam and specifically the layer on the ground is in the form of a mesh. This mesh can be of plastic, spun glass or of dark-coloured glass balls on steel wire. Further, the mesh can be multi-layered such that the glass balls of one layer cover the interspaces of the adjacent layer.
