1513266 Sterilizing packaging machine chambers ALPURA-KORECO AG 6 Nov 1975 [19 Nov 1974] 46040/75 Heading A5G An enclosure of a machine such as a sterile chamber of a packaging machine is sterilised by simultaneously injecting into the enclosure, before start-up of the machine, hydrogen peroxide and steam, condensing the mixture on the inner walls of the enclosure, evacuating the condensate, and drying the enclosure. The hydrogen peroxide may be at 50‹C to 95‹C and the steam may be at 110‹C to 180‹C. A packaging machine comprises a chamber 2 for packaging material under sterile conditions and two two component injection nozzles 6, 7 supplied on the one hand by a hydrogen peroxide reservoir 8, a pump 9 and a hydrogen peroxide feed pipe 10 and on the other hand by a steam source 11 and a steam feed pipe 12, the machine further comprising means 14 for evacuating condensate and drying the chamber. |
