The electrical window panel actuator is used esp. for motor vehicle door windows. The window panel is actuated by an electric motor with reduction gear and the actuating mechanism is compact. The housing (3) forms the mounting plate for holding the actuator on the door. The window panel lifting arm (14) has a pivot bearing (15) and this arm is driven by a pinion projecting through an opening in the housing. This arrangement can have two lifting arms which are parallel or crossed. One of these arms has a toothed segment which is engaged with the pinion.
