The assembly device is for fixing a removable and interchangeable decorative motif, usually initials or a name, on to a bracelet. It consists of a hollow mounting (1) in the form of an elliptical ring in which the motif, which is a bar with the same curve, is fitted. The motif has a notch at each end so that the thin extensions fit over the mounting. The motif has vertical grooves in which the casing of a spring (9, 9') fits. These springs push rods (12, 13) into small openings (4, 5) symmetrically disposed in the mounting so holding the motif in place.
