<p>PURPOSE:To achieve safety running by controlling motor drive such that the maximum speed is limited lower for larger steering angle and larger variation of steering angle. CONSTITUTION:A control circuit 15 employs the output voltage from a variable resistor VRo in a steering angle detecting means as a judgement criterion for limiting the maximum speed according to the leftward and rightward steering direction. When the steering angle is large and the output voltage from the variable resistor VRo is in the range of VL1-VL2 or VR1-VR2, the control circuit 15 does not change the maximum set speed so long as it is low. If the maximum set speed is high, the control circuit 15 quickly reduces the maximum set speed to a new set value and performs speed control within the new maximum speed. By such arrangement, motor chair can pass through a curve smoothly.</p> |
