<p>A variable output radial piston hydraulic pump has a casing made up of two circular end plates (1, 3) and a ring (2) between them with arms projecting inwards from one end plate (3) forming supports for sleeves (18) holding the pistons (17). A hollow drive spindle (12) through the centre houses a sliding rod (27) controlling the output. This spindle carries two guide sleeves (10, 11) with flanges acting as guides and supports for concentric rings (14, 15) which are driven eccentrically to operate the pistons. The sliding rod (27) inside the spindle (12) has opposed grooves with sloping faces (25a, 26a), which when the rod slides, push pressure plates (21, 22) passing through opposite slots through the hollow spindle so that they are forced against the concentric rings (14, 15) so as to vary the travel of the pistons.</p> |
