<p>1428589 Piezo electric transducers P R MALLORY & CO Inc 26 July 1974 [26 July 1973] 33252/74 Heading H4J To bridge electrically any cracks in a piezoelectric element attached by one electrode surface to a resonator, the other electrode surface is bonded to an electrically conductive deformable film. In a high power audio transducer one metallized (Ag) surface 26 of a piezo-ceramic element 14 is bonded electrically and mechanically face to face to a brass disc resonator 24 by conductive epoxy cement 28, the metal (Cu) particles 32 of which bridge the thickness of the cement layer. On the opposite metallized (Ag) surface 27 a deformable film 16, e.g. 0À001 inch polyester 36 made conductive by aluminizing 17, is bonded by similar cement 28 so that any cracks 42 which develop are bridged electrically, all parts of surface 27 being connected to soldered lead 20.</p> |
