<p>The invention relates to a process consisting in setting the heat generator comprised of the burner (2) of a combustion chamber (3), situated in the upper area of the silo or opening out into said area, where is situated a fun (4) which impulses hot air through the upper layer of grain which fills the silo (1). The grain and air enter the silo through the upper part, the air going through the upper layer of the grain and coming out through a network of ducts (5) arranged in parallel or as a crown, as a function of the cross section of the silo, and supported by a central part (6) and the silo wall. The grain is subjected to a drying treatment by means of a current of hot air parallel to the down-flow of the grain. From the ducts, the grain falls down to the lower area of the silo (7) and receives a counter-current cooling treatment by means of air pulsed by a fun (9), said air being blown through a false bottom consisting of perforated sheet metal (8) forming the silo base and wherein an extraction system (10) provides for the uniform downward motion of the grain.</p> |
