PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide constitution such that when a plurality of information codes are present within a visual field range, a read result of an information code arranged at a proper distance is easily output and a read result of an information code present within a distance range where reading is undesirable is easily prevented from being output.SOLUTION: A portable information code reader 1 comprises: an imaging part 23 capable of imaging information codes; a determination part which determines whether the distance of an information code from the information code reader 1 is within a predetermined allowable range; and an output control part which performs output control to output a decoding result of the information code on condition that the determination part determines that the distance to the information code is within the allowable range and not to output the decoding result of the information code when the determination part determines that the distance to the information code is not within the allowable range.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 14 |
