This device 1 for the selection and running of the programme, in particular for a washing machine of any type, of the type equipped with a programmer 2 actuated by motor means 3, comprises a microprocessor 10 supplied in a way known per se in an electronic card 8. This microprocessor has an input interface 12 connected electrically to a programme selector 7, to sensors L1, T1, I1 which detect the state of the washing machine, as well as to a position detector 5 of the said programmer 2, and it further has an output interface 13 electrically connected to the said motor means 3 as well as to the programmer 2, in order to position the latter at points which are pre-established by the said microprocessor 10. <IMAGE>
