PURPOSE:To produce the optical recording medium having a high recording sensitivity by providing a layer of the simple substance of a compd. consisting of the simple substance of the compd. which generates thermal changes, such as exploding, melting, evaporating, decomposing, and sublimating, at the temp. below the m. p. of a recording layer. CONSTITUTION:A soln. 13 of the compd. dissolved in a suitable solvent is applied by spin coating at a uniform thickness on the signal surface 12 of a stamper 11. After this solvent is dried, a photosetting resin 14 is placed in an annular shape on the inner peripheral part of a coating layer 13a formed after drying of the soln. 13 and a transparent substrate 1 is pressed thereto to spread the photosetting resin 14 to a uniform thickness, by which a resin layer 3 is formed. A part of the resin 14 penetrates into the coating layer 13a in this process and a mixed layer 4 composed of a resin material and the compd. is generated on the surface in contact with the stamper 11. The resin layer 14 is irradiated with resin curing light 15 to cure the resin layer 3 and the mixed layer 4; thereafter, the boundary face between the stamper 11 and the mixed layer 4 is peeled to obtain a desired replica 7. The soln. of the compd. dissolved in the suitable solvent is then applied by spin coating on the mixed layer 4 formed on the replica 7 after a baking treatment, by which the simple substance layer 5 of the compd. is formed. |
