<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ocular fundus diagnostic imaging support system which can support diagnosis of a disease such as glaucoma by analyzing an ocular fundus photograph and providing a value of a C/D ratio calculated objectively to a medical doctor. <P>SOLUTION: The ocular fundus diagnostic imaging support system 1 uses an ocular fundus diagnostic imaging support computer 2, extracts a diagnostic candidate area from ocular fundus image data concerning the ocular fundus photograph obtained by photographing the ocular fundus of a patient, detects a teat sector and a recessus sector, and respectively calculates a teat approximate circle and a recess approximate circle approximate to the teat sector and the recessus sector. By calculating a ratio of the radius of the teat approximate circle to the calculated recess approximate circle, information of the C/D ratio profitable for diagnosing ophthalmic diseases such as glaucoma is provided to the medical doctor to support the diagnosis. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
