<p>An X-ray apparatus is provided which is preferably intended for mammography and biopsy and it comprises a tube arm (1) which is rotatably secured in relation to a base frame (4) and which supports the X-ray tube (2). Moreover, the apparatus comprises a support plate (20), a compression bowl (25) and a film cassette holder (19) which are mounted so as to be mutually displaceable. In order to produce such an X-ray apparatus with a simple stereotactic instrument, which is readily mounted on the X-ray apparatus and which eliminates the need for the costly duplicate support plate and film cassette holder, the localization and needle holder device of the stereotactic instrument are combined to form a combined unit which may be secured in the compression bowl holder (21) of the X-ray apparatus. The compression bowl holder (21) and the support plate and the film cassette holder are mounted so as to be displaceable along a guide (18) on the second arm (17). The second arm (17) and the tube arm (1) being settable in various mutual angle settings it is possible to carry out stereotactic exposures and subsequently a biopsy.</p> |
