<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an image of high quality by eliminating a fear that various kinds of defects in an image are generated. SOLUTION: A developer has the external addition of (a) >=0.5 pts.wt. silica fine grains whose average grain size is >=20 nm and (b) >=0.1 pts.wt. inorganic fine grains whose resistance values are >=0.001 time those of the following toner grains and average grains size is larger than that of the silica fine grains, with respect to 100 pts.wt. toner grains whose average grain size is 5-15μm. In this developing method, the developer passes through between a developing sleeve 11 and the edge of a regulating blade 12 and a layer of the developer formed on the surface of the developing sleeve 11 is brought into contact with the surface of a photoreceptor 2, to develop an electrostatic latent image.</p> |
