A method of combatting mastitis of bacteriological origin in quadruped mammals comprises daily administration of cycloserine (CS) and O-carbamyl-D-serine (OCS) in a dose of about 0.25g. to about 1.5g. per 100 lb. animal weight, the ratio of CS to OCS being 0.5 to 1.5:1 by weight. The CS and OCS may be administered in admixture or separately, e.g. one component may be administered orally and the other parenterally. |
