<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which suppresses image quality deterioration caused by transmission of heat to a photoreceptor drum 1 from fixing rollers 70a and 70b having heat sources. <P>SOLUTION: At least one of an electrifier 4, a developing device 5, and a drum cleaner 2 is disposed apart a specific distance from a photoreceptor drum 1. In addition, an intermediate transfer belt 11 is disposed apart a specific distance from the photoreceptor drum 1, and a toner image may be transferred from the drum to the belt by a non-contact transfer system. Further, a latent image carrier which is a hollow structure, such as a photoreceptor pipe or an endless photoreceptor belt, may be used and a cooling means which cools the image carrier from its hollow inside may also be provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
