PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely record data by controlling the recording power by the detection output of a first detecting means which detects the light quantity of reflected light beams and the detection output of a second detecting means which directly detects the light quantity of radiated light beams. SOLUTION: During a recording operation mode, a writing pulse generating circuit 24 gives writing pulses Dwr, which are synchronized to data clocks CK, to a laser driving circuit 20 in accordance with recording data. In the optical disk recording and reproducing device, a minimum pulse interval segment Ts of the pulses Dwr is set equivalent to a three channel clock period. Moreover, first sampling pulses SP1 and second sampling pulses SP2 are formed by the clocks CK corresponding to the channel clocks and the recording data synchronized to the clocks CK. |
