PURPOSE:To provide a manufacturing method for an electrode used for a battery by which the battery exhibits stable discharge characteristics. CONSTITUTION:After forming a metal thin layer on the surface of the skeleton portion of a communicating structure resin foamed body, the resin foamed body is heated in the atmosphere so that the skeleton portion is heat decomposed, removed, and changed into the metal skeleton portion. After performing mechanical deforming work on the whole so that deformed amount reaches 1% or more, active material is filled into void portions. Or, after filling the active material into the void portions in advance, the mechanical deforming work is performed on the whole so that the deformed amount reaches 1% or more. The oxide film on the metal skeleton surface is destructed by the deforming work so that the electric connection between the metal skeleton and the active material is improved thereby. |
