PURPOSE:To display set areas designated on an original and the number of those areas on the same picture in the case of picture editing. CONSTITUTION:An LCD display part 4-2 of a display device 4 is provided with an area monitor 4-3 for displaying the picture of input information at the time of editing. When an area 7-3 is designated on the original placed on an edit pad 7 according to a selected area setting method, the area monitor 4-3 displays the graphic of the set area at an area display part 4-3a and the number of total areas at an area number display part 4-3b respectively. An operator can confirm the set areas and the number of areas on the screen. When the number of areas exceeds a specified value, it is informed of the operator by the message or alarm sound of an alarming device 9 in addition to the area number display. |
