Heading R2L.[Also in Division Cl] A method of coating a plurality of objects with particles e.g. of glass, in suspension comprises stacking the objects with spaces therebetween in a container containing a liquid suspension of the particles, and centrifuging the container, the ratio of the liquid height in the container to the container diameter being at least 0.6. Preferably objects 22 are carried in pans 21 inserted into slots 14 in a stacker tube 11 and the latter inserted into a container 12. The centrifuge shown comprises cups, each containing several containers 12, pivotally suspended from horizontal arms rotatable about a vertical axis, whereby the cups in operation assume a horizontal position. |
