PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acknowledge the state of the formation of a mark with high sensitivity even if a recording to an optical disk is made with a multi-pulse string. SOLUTION: The recording to the optical disk is made by replacing a part of the multi-pulse strings with a pulse for detection of a single pulse. At that time, a correction to Pw2' is made by increasing or decreasing the heating power Pw2 of the pulse for detection so that a recording-state information value RFopc obtained from a reflected light can be equal to its target value RFopco (Step S9). A Pw1' is found by dividing the value of the Pw2' by a factor α (0.6 to 0.9), and then the heating power Pw1 of the multi-pulse strings is set to Pw1' (Step S10). |
