<p>Cationic aqueous polymer dispersion comprising fine particles, comprising at least: (1) the product of an emulsion polymerization of a monomer mixture comprising, by weight: (a) 20% to 65% of at least one optionally substituted styrene, (b) 35% to 80% of at least one C<SUB>1</SUB>-C<SUB>18</SUB> (meth)acrylic ester, (c) 0 to 20% of at least one ethylenically unsaturated nonionic monomer other than (a) and (b), (d) 0 to 20% of at least one C<SUB>3</SUB>-C<SUB>6</SUB> ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid or a corresponding salt thereof, (a) + (b) + (c) + (d) = 100% by weight, the monomer mixture being polymerized in the presence of an emulsifier that is an aqueous solution of a cationic imidized copolymer of styrene and of maleic anhydride, (2) glyoxal.</p> |
