PURPOSE:To improve transportation and storage efficiency, by advancing a lift lever of a lift device into a bucket from the lower portion of the bottom plate of the bucket and retreating the same therefrom in the captioned device for packing cases accommodating documents or the like to lift and lower the article supporting plate in the bucket. CONSTITUTION:When a bucket 1 arrives at a case taking-out position, the lift lever 22 of a lift unit 24 confronts the through hole 2 of a bucket 1. When a lift lever 22 moves upwardly through a lifting and lowering plate 23 at the time, the lift lever 22 advances into the bucket 1 through the through hole 2 to move an article support plate 3 upwardly, which permits a packing case 4 to be lifted and the support plate 3 to be at the same level with a packing case taking-out conveyer 19. Then, a pusher 25 pushes the packing case 4 onto the conveyer for placing it thereon. Next, the pusher 25 retreats and the lift unit 24 lowers. With this arrangement, transportation and storage efficiency can be improved.
