In the unbalanced Y- circulator of Fig. 1, strip conductors 11, 12, 13 are earthed at one end by pins 14, 15, 16 extending through the ferrite element 20 to the ground plane. Lateral interdigitated extensions, e.g. 23, 24 of the arms provide capacitance between the live end of each arm and the earthy end of either adjacent arm. The arms are split where they overlap near the centre of the circulator. In the modification of Fig. 5, one end of each arm is connected to an annular strip conductor 39 which is earthed by pins 35 at the three points where the live ends of the arms pass above it. |
