PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device which instantaneously displays the result of parallel processing by multiple processors united with display elements by bringing the color development of the display elements under the decentralized control of the processors. SOLUTION: Sets of processors and memories are decentralized, embedded, and arranged by small display areas 11 formed by dividing the display area of the image display device, and the processors are connected by communication paths 12 and a switch which controls the communication paths 12. The arithmetic result obtained by the parallel processing of the processors is instantaneously displayed as an image by performing the decentralized control over display elements in the small display areas 11 corresponding to the processors.
