PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method and a new device for preventing the obstruction in a storage tank for a high-level liquid waste that can both easily and securely remove deposit precipitating on equipment in the storage tank for the high-level liquid waste. SOLUTION: After pure water or the water mixed with an cleaning agent is heated to a prescribed temperature to make hot washing water, it is poured at regular time intervals into such devices as a hydrogen scavenge line 4, a liquid level gauge 6 and a liquid waste transportation line 3 located in a high- level liquid waste storage tank (A) to dissolve and remove oxides (salt) precipitating near a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet of the devices. Consequently, such inconvenience as obstruction can be prevented beforehand by both easily and securely removing the deposit precipitating on such devices as the hydrogen scavenge line 4, the liquid level gauge 6 and the liquid waste transportation line 3.
