The signal light has a lamp and a resistor connected by wires to the lead terminals. The small signal light is connected to switching boards as indicator lights. The insulation is an integral arrangement and no insulating sleeves and envelopes are used. The lamp (1), resistor (5) and wires (2, 3) are held in a transparent or translucent plastics material envelope forming a solid block (7). A coloured plastics material can be used for making a housing (8) within which the solid block (7) is held. The lamp and components can be embedded into transparent or translucent plastics. Thi block is pressed into the coloured plastics housing (8).
