METHOD FOR DISCOLOURING A PRODUCT, IN PARTICULAR SILICON FLUID, COMPRISING COLOURED CATALYTIC RESIDUES

The invention concerns a method for discolouring a product obtained by homogeneous catalytic reaction whereby the catalyst used is a metal selected among the group comprising: palladium, cobalt, platinum, nickel and their mixtures, said product containing coloured metal agglomerates. The method consists essentially in (1) oxidising the metal(s) M constituting the agglomerates, and (2) trapping the resulting oxidised metal forms (Mox) using at least one ligand L carrying free electronic doublet(s), selected among the phosphorous compounds, and/or the nitrogenous compounds, and/or the sulphurous compounds.
