<p>A reusable security cap for attachment in the proximity of a knob (4) or like turning device of a lock mechanism and intended to prevent unnecessary use of an emergency exit. The security cap includes an inner part (6) which is permanently fixed to a door and a detachable part (7). The two cap parts are joined together by means of shear pins (8) of such nature that they cannot be removed without fracturing, such that the two cap parts remain undamaged and can be reused subsequent to fitting new shear pins. Subsequent to breaking open the security cap, the detachable cap part remains hanging from the inner cap part on a line (9).</p> |
