PURPOSE:To reduce the number of parts, to reduce the number of welding processes, and to improve workability during assembly by integrally forming a bump rubber support to a cap. CONSTITUTION:A cap 21 integrally consists of a cylindrical part 22 and a bump rubber support part 23. In which case, the cylindrical part 22 comprises an expansion cylinder part 22A on the lower end side; an intermediate cylinder part 22B having diameter smaller than that of the expansion cylinder part 22A; and a taper cylinder part 22C contracted in a tapered state from the upper end side of the intermediate cylinder part 22B. The inner periphery of the lower end of the taper cylinder part 22C forms an engaging stepped part 22D with which the outer peripheral side of the holding part 6A of a seal member 6 is engaged. The inner peripheral side of the expansion cylinder part 22A is fitted in the outer peripheral side of a rod guide 4, and the outer peripheral side thereof is fitted in the inner periphery on the upper end side of the outer cylinder 1 and fixed to an outer cylinder 1 by means of a weld means. The bump rubber support part 23 is integrally formed to the cylindrical part 22 as an annular plate extended from the upper end side of the taper cylinder part 22C in an out state in a radiation direction. |
