PURPOSE:To retrieve necessary journal data easily at a high speed and confirm its contents by providing a condition detecting means, an index generating means, an index detecting means, a continuous conveyance means, and a data retrieval means. CONSTITUTION:When the condition detecting means consisting of a CPU 2 and a RAM 4 detects previously set specific conditions, the index generating means, i.e., a printer controller 22, a mark stamp 30, etc., generates an index on a journal form on the basis of the detection output and a feed motor 27 as the continuous conveying means continuously conveys the journal form on which the index is generated. An optical sensor 23 as the index detecting means detects the index on the journal form and the printer controller 22 as the data retrieval means stops the continuous conveyance of the journal form by the feed motor 27 on the basis of the detection output. Consequently, the journal form on which journal data is continuously conveyed and automatically stopped at a previously set specific position. |
