PURPOSE:To accurately and surely feed an original by providing a skew correcting means and providing a control means which controls the time, when feeding of the original to be next copied in the skew correcting direction is started, in accordance with the original size. CONSTITUTION:The original at the bottom out of originals which are set an original supply base 1 with surfaces turned up is called by a calling roll 6. The called original is separated from the other originals by a stopping belt 7 and is carried and is led to a carrying path 11 under a table by pairs of pull-out rolls 9 and auxiliary rolls 10. A first motor 25 is so controlled that it is reversed at a prescribed timing after a forward/reverse sensor 14 detects the rear end of the original, and the original strikes against a pair of resist rolls 15 by reverse of the pair of auxiliary rolls 10. At this time, one auxiliary roll is moved by the operation of a solenoid 42 with respect to the contacting pressure between the pair of auxiliary rolls 10. Thus, skew is satisfactorily corrected by the pair of resist rolls 15 as skew correcting means.
