Digital data transmission optimization arrangement for bidirectional short wave radio channel

In each transmitting and receiving station (A,B) data is divided into packets in accordance with a transmission protocol and the number, length, priority and type (payload, control) of each packet is determined. The data transmission protocol is selected accordingly for optimal usage of the channel capacity.
