In any driving conditions the indicator shows the driver the fuel consumption in litres per 100 kilometer. The fuel quantity of fuel supplied to the motor can be measured in millilitres per second. The fuel consumption V (in litres per 100 kilometer) can be calculated from the fuel quantity D (in millilitres per second) for speed of travel G (in kilometer per hour) from the equation V = D . 100 . 3600/ G . 1000 and displayed on the dashboard.
