An integrated, multi-display overlay-controlled workstation (1) is disclosed. The present invention is particularly suitable for processing electronic images. A transparent energized conductive surface (5) is utilized as the primary input control device for the invention. The conductive surface enables the user of the apparatus to interact with menus, documents, pictures or other images on the various displays (6,7,8) as well as control and select various functions of the apparatus through permanent function symbols (9). Capability to communicate voice and date with other users and workstations also is provided. The present invention is mounted in a mechanical structure that can be manipulated as to orientation and height to allow optimization as to user physical attributes and user intended activity. |
