Used in telephone exchanges or similar installations, the snap-on bracket (1) has a horizontal square angled 'S' section. It attaches to a horizontal slotted box section rail (4) and locates cables (12) in clusters or individually. The bracket is of a rigid material with a degree of elasticity. One half (2, 3) forms a downhand clip which grips the rail and the other half (2, 8) forms an uphand clip which grips a cable or cables. A mould end (5, 7) to the downturned flange may ensure that the bracket locks onto the rail, and similar formations (9, 10) on the upturned flange and the top angle fulfil a similar function with respect to the cables. Alternative details may replace the uphand clip by a vertical or a horizontal bar with keyholes section tongues defining grooves for individual cables.
|
