Disclosed is a method for detecting an abnormal state of a position sensor of an active roll control system, capable of accurately determining whether a position sensor is abnormal on the basis of a rotation angle detection value of a gear detected from the position sensor according to an operation of an actuator, thus securing reliability regarding an angle detection function of the sensor and preventing occurrence of a problem entailed by malfunction of the system. The method for detecting an abnormal state of a position sensor of an active roll control system comprises: detecting a rotation angle of a gear according to an operation of an actuator using a position sensor; determining whether a detection value of the rotation angle measured by the position sensor is within a measurement error range according to operational characteristics of the sensor; and determining linearity of the detection value of the rotation angle measured by the position sensor. |
