The inductive heating plates, for cookers, consists of a ferromagnetic base (1) with slots (3) machined into its top surface to accommodate a bifilar or meandering flat coil (2). The coil is supplied with an approx. sinusoidal RF voltage. The top of the base is covered with a thermally insulating plate (4), e.g. ceramic. The coil may be meander-shaped or a bifilar spiral. The RF voltage is generated by a static inverted half bridge coupled to a d.c. supply.
|
