1,178,320. Dial gauges. HAMILTON WATCH CO. Dec.28, 1967 [April 18, 1967], No. 58875/67. Heading G1M. In a dial guage the movements of the sensor are transmitted to the pointer of the gauge through an armature and a magnet. In the embodiment a spindle 29 carrying the sensing head is connected to pad 39 which engages a projection 89 on lever 76 pivotted at 77. Movement of the spindle thus urges tip 88 on lever 76 against pin 86 on a second lever 78 which is pivotted at its lever end and carries a U-shaped magnet 82 at its upper end; movement of the second lever thus moves magnet 82 along an armature helix 69 which rotates to move pointer 21a. Adjustment may be effected by adjusting a pad 101 which flexes part of a fixed frame 63 carrying the lever pivots. |
