PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a metal foil having through holes formed and having high strength; a method for producing the metal foil; and a lithium ion capacitor using the metal foil as an electric collector.SOLUTION: A metal foil 1 of the present invention has a first main surface 11 and a second main surface 12, and comprises a body part 10 having formed a plurality of through holes 13 which penetrate from the first main surface 11 to the second main surface 12, and a plurality of protrusions 20 which protrude from an edge 14 surrounding each of the plurality of through holes 13 of the body part 10 in a direction of the axis 15 of the through hole 13 to the first main surface 11 side. The method for producing the metal foil of the present invention is a method for producing the metal foil 1. The lithium ion capacitor of the present invention uses as an electric collector the above metal foil or a metal foil produced by the above production method of a metal foil.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
