摘要 PURPOSE: A circuit for driving a field emission display device for a gray scale process of a current control method using a switched resistance is provided to reduce a design area by reducing the number of an operation amplifier being used, and simultaneously to reduce consumption power by the operation amplifier. CONSTITUTION: The circuit includes a single operation amplifier(10), a voltage following unit and a resistance for controlling a current and performs a single gray scale process through a current controlling method and further has a group including a resistance unit, a switch unit and a switched resistance unit(14). The resistance unit is connected to one side of the voltage following unit, and other side of which is grounded and performs as a resistance. The switch unit is connected between the resistance unit and the voltage following unit and controls the current flowing in the voltage following unit by switching the resistance unit according to a control signal applied from the outside. The switched resistance unit consists of a bias unit which receives a power voltage, is connected to one side of the resistance unit and performs a bias function so that the resistance unit is capable of generating a predetermined resistance value. The circuit reduces an area of a driving circuit as performing a gray scale through several pair of connections of the group.
