PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water softener capable of informing the replacing time of a battery used as a power source, suppressing the consumption of the battery, and ensuring the safety in the case of battery replacement. SOLUTION: This water softener comprises a soft water tank 7 in which cation exchange resin 5 is packed for softening hard water, a salt tank 11 which is connected with the soft water tank 7 to supply salt water for regenerating the cation exchange resin 5 and in which salt 9 is packed for the regeneration, a water feed valve S2 which can open and close the inflow port to the soft water tank 7, a regeneration valve S1 which can open and close the inflow port to the salt tank 11, a plurality of on/off valves which are connected in parallel to the outflow port of the soft water tank 7, a power source 51, a power supply voltage detection circuit, and a control means which closes the water feed-side valves of the soft water tank 7 and salt tank 11 and/or opens at least one of the on/off valves when the power supply voltage detection circuit detects the reduction of the voltage of the power supply to a set voltage. |
