PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for arrangement number setting of articles in arrangement sale business which set a proper arrangement number without depending upon the intiution nor experience of an arranged staff. SOLUTION: Period factor indexes showing increase/decrease trends of consumptions of articles by periods are previously stored in a storage means 12, the consumptions of the articles by customers are inputted by an input means 11 and stored in the storage means 12. An average consumption calculating means 13 obtains the consumptions of the articles from the storage means 12, calculates the average consumptions of the articles for all the customers, and store them in the storage means 12. A consumption history index calculating means 14 obtains the consumptions of the articles from the storage means 12, calculates consumption history indexes showing the consumptions of the articles by the past periods, and stores them in the storage means 12. An arrangement number calculating means 15 obtains the average consumptions, period factor indexes, and consumption history indexes from the storage means 12, calculates the arrangement numbers of this period for the arrangement number of the last period, and outputs the calculated arrangement numbers of this period by an output means 16. |
