PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a window on-glass antenna system for vehicle that can surely be mounted on an automobile rear window or the like, so as to enhance a required antenna characteristic stably at all times. SOLUTION: This antenna system is provided with a defogger 10 that is mounted on a window glass face, so that bus bars 10c, 10d at both ends face a window frame metallic part 30 with a prescribed gap BG, a means that separates the defogger 10 and a power supply line in terms of high frequencies, a vertical wire 10b placed orthogonally to horizontal wires 10a so as to form a mesh pattern for with respect to the defogger 10, and an exciting antenna 20 with a height H opposed to the defogger 10 with a clearance CG in a mutual coupling therewith. The gap BG is selected to be about 50 mm, the clearance CG is selected to about 5-15 mm, the height is selected to be about 100-250 mm, a W shown in figure is selected one or over, and a part between the bus bars 10c, 10d and the power supply line forms an open circuit.
