<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeder and an image forming device, excellent in operability when setting a paper feeding tray to a device body after replenishment, even in a paper feeder in which the position of the paper feeding tray when paper sheets are replenished has an angle with respect to a horizontal direction. <P>SOLUTION: A belt holding member 9 is attached to an extended guide means 6. The predetermined position of a timing belt 74 is sandwiched between the receiving part 9a and fastening part 9b of the belt holding member 9 in the predetermined position of the endless timing belt 74 which is tightly stretched around a driving roller 71 and a driven roller 72 respectively rotated by a driving means 73 such as a motor and is a transfer means for the extended guide means 6 arranged in parallel with the drawing out direction A of the paper feeding tray 10.
