PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system for advertising on the Internet capable of promoting banners and thus increasing advertising effects by urging the operator of a homepage to place the banners on the homepage. SOLUTION: This method includes a step (S1) for placing banners on the homepage according to banner sources included in the source code of the homepage, upon a request from a user's terminal which accessed the homepage; a step (S2) for displaying an advertising screen on the user's terminal when the user clicks on the banners at the terminal; a step (S3) for obtaining a first ID code included in the banner source; a step (S4) for generating a second ID code upon a request made from the terminal through the adverting screen for placing the banners; a step (S5) for storing information for associating the second ID code with the first ID code; and a step (S6) for transmitting the information including the second ID code to the banner source. |
