<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To regulate water flow in a specified volume required by a regulation by arranging a filter and a bypass orifice adjacently to the outside face of a diaphragm. SOLUTION: When a handle 38 is manipulated, a safety valve 30 is raised from a holding disk 40 and the water in a pressure chamber 50 is ejected out of a sleeve 48. Then, a diaphragm 18 is raised from a valve seat 25 by the inlet pressure so that the inlet 12 communicates with the outlet 14. Then water is charged through a filter of a diaphragm assembly 16 and a bypass orifice into the chamber 50 and the assembly 16 is lowered to the valve seat 26 and the flushing water valve is closed. A filter ring 56 forming a filter having a plurality of grooves at the periphery is held by pegs at the underside of the diaphragm 18 and the bypass orifice is formed in a specified peg 82 to guarantee communication with the pressure chamber 50. In this way, since the number of grooves of the filter is increased, jamming of the filter and the orifice can be prevented. And the valve can be securely closed within a specified time interval and a specified water volume can be secured.</p> |
