PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable data demodulation method which adds an element, i.e., a character time interval equivalent to a single character to significantly decrease misreading for deciding the binary data on every bit. SOLUTION: In this demodulation method, the binary data are composed of a frequency modulated signal that is produced by combining a high frequency signal with a low frequency signal, the data equivalent to a single character are composed of a prescribed number of bits and a parity bit and the presence or absence of a peak point is detected from a reproduced signal waveform of a recording data signal within a fixed time interval to demodulate the binary data. Then the character time interval equivalent to a single character of the recording data is defined as a prescribed range by a prescribed number of bits, all peaks are detected for a digitized reproduction signal waveform, the inter-peak time interval is measured to generate the inter-peak interval value, these inter-peak interval value are successively added together, the termination of a single character is decided from the peak position included in the character time interval equivalent to a single character and the data are demodulated in every quantity equivalent to a single character. |
