A washing machine is provided to reduce noise and vibration during dehydration by judging resonance vibration in low speed range and setting corresponding RPM as a resonance vibration range and controlling. A washing machine comprises a washing tub(29), a motor(28), a sensor(20), and a control unit(22). The motor rotates the washing tub. The sensor senses the state of the washing tub. The control unit judges resonance vibration by using state of the washing tub sensed within set low speed range and sets RPM as a resonance vibration range if the washing tub is in resonance vibration, and controls the motor to re-start a dehydration stroke. The control unit judges whether the washing tub is in resonance vibration or not by comparing sensor value to standard value of the sensor. |
