<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce any risk that an electric device whose check is required or the electric device whose lifetime is almost a terminal is used as it is by deciding the checking period or lifetime period of the electric device through a rational method, and notifying a product user of the result. <P>SOLUTION: The electric device 1 includes: an operating time measurement device 13 for measuring an operation time; a notification device 21 for notifying checking warning or lifetime warning; an arithmetic unit 11 for determining the degree of deterioration in an operation time from a cumulative operation time, and for, when the degree of deterioration in the operation time reaches a prescribed value, transmitting a trigger signal indicating that it becomes possible for the notification device 21 to notify the checking warning or lifetime warning; and a control device 10 for making the notification device 21 execute the notification of the checking warning or lifetime warning in response to a trigger signal.
